This time I decided to build a crew of my own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"1080\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1080 \/ 1080;\" width=\"1080\" controls playsinline preload=\"metadata\" poster=\"https:\/\/www.theoluk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/olukrew-game-boy-pixel-art-the-oluk.png\" src=\"https:\/\/www.theoluk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/olukrew-game-boy-pixel-art-animazione-the-oluk.mp4\"><\/video><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Olukrew, the first character: a retro console in pixel art, drawn and animated in Photoshop by The_Oluk.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is Olukrew?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The name brings together Oluk and crew, sharing the K. The idea is to turn gaming and technology objects into characters, all wearing the face from The_Oluk\u2019s logo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rigid bodies, blocky hands, short legs and sneakers that match the object\u2019s colours. Same face, personalities still to discover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A retro console comes to life<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the debut, I chose a retro console, drawn and animated in <strong>Photoshop<\/strong>. It switches on, comes to life, waves and sets off with a little attitude.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I worked on the movement to give it a recognisable attitude, even without dialogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Level 1: four characters, one crew<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is the first of the <strong>four characters in Level 1<\/strong>, Olukrew\u2019s opening chapter. I\u2019ll introduce the others one at a time; future releases will bring new groups of four characters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first one still needs a name. What would you call him?
