“It is wonderful to know that you can make people smile through tiny colored squares,” says art director Manolo Saviantoni (@the_oluk) from Ciampino, Italy.
Creating pixel art characters began as a game between Manolo and his daughters, but seeing people appreciate his works encouraged him to create more. “I am developing some new ideas for my creations,” he says. “There are many varieties of pixel art. Still, all the pixel artists have something in common, which is this art’s most fascinating feature in my opinion: the ability to give a pixel-colored, unconventional representation of the world.” Photo by @the_oluk
