This page explains how the personal data of people who visit theoluk.com, or contact me through the site, is processed, in accordance with Art. 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR).

What data I collect

  • Data you send me: when you fill in the contact form (name, email, type of project, message) or write to me by email.
  • Browsing data: the technical data that servers record automatically when you visit a website (for example IP address, browser, pages visited), used to run and secure the site.
  • Cookies and third-party tools: visit statistics (Google Analytics) and embedded videos (YouTube), enabled only with your consent. Details are in the Cookie Policy.

Why I use it and on what legal basis

  • Replying to your requests and preparing quotes or collaborations: the legal basis is taking pre-contractual steps at your request (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).
  • Anonymous or aggregated visit statistics: only with your consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time from the cookie banner.
  • Security and operation of the site: legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).

I don't use your data for newsletters or advertising, and I never sell it or pass it on to third parties.

How long I keep it

Messages received through the form or by email are kept for as long as needed to handle the request, and in any case no longer than 24 months, unless a working relationship begins: in that case the necessary data is kept for the period required by tax and legal obligations.

Who else processes the data

To run the site I rely on a few providers who process data on my behalf: the website hosting service, the email service and, only with your consent, Google (Analytics and YouTube). Some of these providers may transfer data outside the European Union; in such cases the transfer is based on the safeguards provided by the GDPR (for example adequacy decisions such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, or standard contractual clauses).

Your rights

At any time you can ask me to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its processing, or receive it in a portable format, and you can withdraw any consent you have given. Just write to info@theoluk.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).

I do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling on your data.
