Pixel Art & Game Design
The game designed by kids
Gumball Social Game is an official videogame of The Amazing World of Gumball, made for Boing and released on Boing App in Italy in March 2026 and in Spain in July 2026.
What makes it special is that kids designed it. For five weeks Boing asked its audience one question per week on TV, and they voted on the features of the game:
- gameplay: skill
- setting: outer space
- game mode: finish line
- heroes: Gumball, Darwin and Anais, all three
- villains: all of Gumball's friends

From their answers we built a vertical space race: jump from planet to planet, use (or fight) their rotation and avoid blades, spikes and satellites. Finish in the top three to reach the podium and unlock the next race – every level is full of Gumball's friends trying to beat you.

I handled concept, game design and all the pixel art – characters, planets, obstacles, backgrounds and UI – drawn and animated in Adobe Photoshop. Gumball and Darwin were animated by me, Anais and Gumball's friends by Edo Faravelli. Development by Dinobros.

Game facts
What is Gumball Social Game?
Gumball Social Game is an official The Amazing World of Gumball video game made for Boing. It is a vertical space race: Gumball, Darwin and Anais jump from planet to planet, using or fighting their rotation and avoiding blades, spikes and satellites, to reach the top before Gumball's friends.
Why is it called a game designed by kids?
Because its features were chosen by Boing's audience. For five weeks the channel asked one question per week on TV and kids voted: skill as gameplay, outer space as setting, finish line as game mode, Gumball, Darwin and Anais all three as heroes and Gumball's friends as villains. We built the game from those answers.
How do you win a race?
Every level is a race against Gumball's friends, all ready to beat you. To move on to the next race you must reach the podium, at least in the top three. The course gets harder level after level, with faster-spinning planets and more traps to avoid.
Where can you play Gumball Social Game?
The game is available on Boing App, in the browser and on smartphones. It came out in Italy in March 2026 and in Spain in July 2026. You can also try it right away with the PLAY NOW button on this page.
Who made Gumball Social Game?
Concept, game design and pixel art are by Manolo Saviantoni, aka The_Oluk, a pixel artist and game designer from Rome. The animations of Gumball and Darwin are mine, those of Anais and Gumball's friends are by Edo Faravelli. Development by Dinobros, who I have been working with for years. The client is Boing (Warner Bros. Discovery).
What tools was the pixel art made with?
Characters, planets, obstacles, backgrounds and UI are drawn and animated in Adobe Photoshop, pixel by pixel. The style is the one of my games: black outline, flat and sharp colors, no gradients, for graphics that stay readable even on the small screen of a phone.
Have you made other games with Gumball?
Yes. For Boing I also drew Il Gioco dei Riflessi, Il Grande Incubo and Arena Cartoon, where Gumball meets other Cartoon Network characters. If you want to know my work better, you will find everything on the About.
